The set includes everything you need to use it. This roll was half the size, which was enough for two years. I think the rest will be enough too. The cardboard circle is meant for refilling. I can also make a video tutorial on how to refill cartridges. It's very simple. The defect is probably a small, indelible stain (visible in the photo), which can only be seen when viewed very closely.
