Šie slingi ļoti piemēroti lielākiem bērniem, jo tos viegli uzlikt un noņemt arī uz ielas. Šis slingu veids bieži patīk tēviem, tā vieglās izmantošanas dēļ.

Mei Tai slings (English: Mei-Tai, Asian Baby carrier) is a square or rectangular piece of fabric with attached fabric straps at each corner. It gets its name from Asia, as its roots can be traced back there. This sling is worn over both shoulders. The lower straps are tied around the wearer's waist, while the upper straps are directed towards the back, where they cross and are then directed to the front. Visually, this sling resembles a kangaroo pouch, but unlike the kangaroo pouch, the baby is in a much more physiologically suitable position in this sling.

Manufacturers often note that this sling can be used from birth, but our opinion is that it should not be used earlier than 4 months. This sling can be used on the back and on the belly, but cannot be used in a lying position. For newborns, we recommend using other types of slings – a sling scarf or a ring sling.

These slings are very suitable for larger children because they are easy to put on and take off even on the street. This type of sling is often liked by fathers due to its ease of use.
