Elegant cognac glass set from the company "Rīgas Stikls" (USSR, 1970s-80s)
A vintage cognac glass set made from colored glass, produced at the famous Riga factory "Rīgas Stikls" approximately from 1970 to 1980.
The glasses are crafted in an elegant, slightly upward-expanded "tulip" shape (sometimes referred to as liqueur or absinthe glasses), which allows the strong drink's aroma to fully develop. They are placed on a thin, delicate stem, giving them a lightness and elegance characteristic of mid to late 20th-century design.
Colored glass: The items are made from beautiful, transparent yellow (or honey) colored glass. The deep, warm tone gives them a special charm and makes the table setting truly festive.
Engraving (glass carving): The surface of the vessel is adorned with fine engraving executed in diamond or sandblasting technique. As seen in the photographs, the design is a stylized floral motif consisting of several curved lines, reminiscent of petals or leaves winding around the vessel. This plant ornament adds sophistication and elegance to the items.
