Nicaraguan Ocarina (?) whistle

Vintage clay whistle from South America. Most likely from Nicaragua or Peru, beautifully decorated with arapaima, lizard, or mythical creature?:)
There is a micro-crack from the kiln load, which does not interfere with loud blowing and is noticeable only upon close inspection.
More for ambiance and shelf decoration.
Quite large, about 27 cm long.
Packed carefully.
