A new charming book

FINGERLING MITTEN A book that will warm hearts during the long, dark winter evenings. Writer Inese Ķestere has created a heartfelt winter fairy tale that reflects the familiar urban environment during the dark winter period, when uplifting stories are needed to remind us of the main things – the importance of kindness, hope, and friendship. Inese Ķestere's story is wonderfully complemented by illustrations by Anna Orniņa. When evening comes in the city park and the sound of children's footsteps is replaced by the cawing of crows, a small, red glove – Fingerling – finds itself in the snow. He is alone, abandoned, and sad, but he really wants to find someone to warm. He meets friendly birds and a snowman, who already has Mitten living on his arm. Though so different, they become true friends and discover that everyone has a place in the world and their own way to give warmth.
