A completely new book

Andra Manfelde's "Draw a White Thing" is a collection of miniatures based on autobiographical motifs, created in collaboration with artist Neonilla Medvedeva. The main character of the book is a girl who wants to become a painter. It turns out that it's not easy at all - one must know not only how to draw, paint, sculpt, erase, work with ink, and prepare paper, but also to explore nature and understand the work of other artists. On her journey to art, the girl encounters perspective, glazing, and the romantic and complex names of colors. The book also poses various important questions, such as what art is and how to fit an elephant on a page.
