The place called Dvory, formerly known as Meierhöfen and now part of the city of Karlovy Vary, became famous for being the location where Ludwig Moser founded his first glass factory in 1857, writing a bright chapter in the history of Czech crystal. Often overshadowed by its fame is the fact that Dvory is also the site of a porcelain manufactory that considers itself an enterprise as significant as Moser. Its name is Gebruder Benedikt.
