The widow of hockey coach Viktor Tikhonov, Tatyana Vasilyevna, tells the true story of her legendary husband's life. In collaboration with renowned hockey commentator Dmitry Fedorov, she recalls the outstanding hockey coach and analyzes the bright events and interesting facts from the biography of the remarkable hockey player. She talks about the stages of character development, his complex relationships with colleagues and students, his victories and defeats, his ability to take a hit, his views on life and the experiences he shared only with her, as well as the habits and hobbies that help to understand what kind of person the great Tikhonov was. How did he manage to achieve such success with the team? Why were both teams literally taken away from him at the end of his career? The answers to these questions lie in his diaries and the memories of his wife, Tatyana Vasilyevna, as well as in photographs from their personal archive, collected in this book.
