At its core, my story is about courage — about the main character Māra's journey from self-awareness to self-acceptance. When a long-nurtured friendship suddenly collapses and home is no longer a refuge, when old foundations disappear and new ones are yet to be found, Māra takes a desperate step... Māra is dear to me because she is capable of action. Not just pondering the possibilities of action. I assume that this is also the condition for full living, experiencing life, survival."
