A world traversed by celestial maidens every night, with three bright moons, was once united until brothers, suitors of the celestial maidens, quarreled and divided it. Now the Green Depth, a wild and endless primeval forest, and the dry, sparse Field each live their separate lives in apparent safety. However, both in the Field and the Green Depth, both new and forgotten forces are gradually awakening, striving to gain or destroy. The waves of the Green Depth increasingly fiercely beat against the shores of the Field, and in human settlements, a struggle for people's minds and hearts begins. What has disrupted the balance between the two parts of the world? Searching for answers in ancient songs, Hauko, the Great Writer of Vārmas village, finds only new questions. Toms Deimonds Barvidis (1994) is the laureate of the first young writers' competition organized by the Baltic International Bank reading promotion project Library. Toms works in the IT field, but in his free time writes, tends to a family of houseplants, and makes homemade wine. In the debut novel The Green Depth, the author's storytelling talent, love for the fantasy genre, and genuine, deep interest in history and nature intertwine. The book's artist is Reinis Pētersons.
