Selling a rare antique Mabie Todd & Co. New York "Swan Safety" ink pen, produced around 1910-1915. The pen is made of ebonite with a thick gold layer (Gold-Filled) and decorated with a fine "Chevron" herringbone engraving. The pen's special value lies in its original 14-carat solid gold nib (No. 2) with a rare heart-shaped air hole, characteristic only of early models. The pen has a retractable nib mechanism (Safety Screw Cap), which is currently stuck after prolonged storage and requires professional maintenance. The nib may also need straightening. The body features an authentic engraving of the owner's name from that era, "H B ANDREW". Visually, the pen is in very good condition, with minimal gold wear. Length is 12.5 cm.
