The publishing house Zvaigzne ABC has released a unique book titled "Fashion History," which examines clothing design trends over the past two centuries—from the late eighteenth century to the present day. The uniqueness of the publication is found in several aspects; since books on fashion design in Latvian have been published very little, this one covers fashion trends up to a forecast of how fashion will change up to the year 2020. Attention is also paid to accessories of each period—shoes, jewelry, belts, glasses, handbags, hats, and their connection to the style icons of the respective period—Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, Madonna, Rolling Stones, Gregory Peck, and many others.
