Three positions - fully reclined, semi-reclined, and sitting. If you fall asleep while driving, you can recline completely without waking up. The most comfortable car seat ever. The first child had a different one, and I struggled quite a bit. This one was worth every euro spent. It also includes an infant insert for use from birth. The base is NOT included.
