Bohemian glass, also known as Bohemian crystal, is glass produced in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, which are part of the Czech Republic. It has a centuries-long history internationally recognized for its high quality, craftsmanship, and beauty. Hand-cut, engraved, blown, and painted decorative glass items, ranging from champagne glasses to large chandeliers, ornaments, figurines, and other glass products, are among the most famous Czech export products and are very popular and in demand worldwide. The oldest archaeological excavations of glass production sites in this region date back to around the year 1250 and are located in the Lusatian Mountains in North Bohemia.
