When placed on the ground, the seat serves as a cradle. Very convenient to use with the base. The base must be installed in the car with seat belts, and then the seat just needs to be placed on the base and secured. The seat itself no longer needs to be fastened to the base. Suitable for babies up to approximately 1 year of age.
