The wall can be put back, and there are also two removable bars so the baby can climb out on their own when they grow a little older. The front wall can also be moved up and down, so you don't have to bend too low, which is more comfortable for your postpartum back. Bought new, after one child's birth. Cons: one of the bars is broken, we fixed it with tape. You may want to replace the tape or the entire bar. This method worked well for us. Another thing is that the metal rails for the front wall are missing: we removed them and the wall because we joined the crib with my bed. If needed, they can be ordered directly from Drewex.
